INGO PeaceWomen is a subsidiary of the Women's International League for Peache and Freedom (WILPF), the oldest women’s rights NGO in the world. The organisation provides space for peacemakers to engage, learn and be part of a global movement advancing a holistic Women, Peace and Security Agenda. PeaceWomen specifically monitors the UN Security Council and the UN system in general. They provide a hub of information regarding women, peace, and security.

In 2013, Lucid designed the PeaceWomen app as a tool for accessing information on the Women Peace and Security agenda, relevant international legal instruments as well as agreed language on women’s human rights adopted by UN bodies. Its aim is to strengthen civic engagement while subsequently, incorporating women in the decision-making process. The apps’ features include: a functional and visually appealing interface, simplified and consolidated structure, RSS feeds with the latest blog news, Monthly Action Points (MAPs), E-News and a section for initiatives and events. The content of the app is managed through a WordPress-based Content Management System (CMS), giving the client the opportunity to edit the app in the back-end and to preview it as a live dummy on the front end.

To date, the app is being used in over 100 countries by officials and activists alike.
